What Is
Wallpaper?
Did not know that
you can wallpaper your computer?
You know that image that is plastered onto your screen when your
computer finishes starting up before you run any programs? Whether it's clouds or a
Marine Corps medallion, it's right there in front of you. It's the image that all
the little pictures are on, like "My Computer" or "My Hard Drive".
That's called wallpaper. Ever wonder if you can change it?
If you can see a
button that says "Start"- -on your screen at any time, here's what you do:
Click that start button once, move the mouse to
where it says "Settings", and then click where it says
"Control Panel".
Find where it says "Display" and click twice on it. Feel free to
fiddle around in there. You won't hurt anything as long as you stay in the
"Background" section. When you've selected the wallpaper that you want,
click "Apply" and then "OK".
If you can't see a
"Start" button anywhere, here's what you do:
Look for a little picture of an apple in the
upper left hand corner of your screen. Click it and hold down the mouse button.
Move the mouse to where it says "Control Panels", and the move the mouse
over where it says "Appearance Manager". Then click on the
"Desktops" tab on the top if not already selected, and feel free to fiddle
around in there. You can't hurt anything. When you've selected the wallpaper
that you want, click the "Set Pattern" button.
